Wiltshire Council has launched a consultation to help shape their new Local Plan.
The eight-week public consultation marks the publication stage of the plan, before its examination by the Planning Inspectorate. Any comments made during the public consultation period will be submitted to the appointed inspector to consider, during the examination phase.
The Local Plan sets out the following:
- Strategic vision for growth
- Providing land to meet development needs
- Providing for infrastructure, environmental improvements and measures to tackle the impacts of climate change.
Wiltshire Council explain that the purpose of the Local plan is to:
“…provide for the needs of existing communities, safeguarding the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.”
