Stroud Local Plan – Matters, Issues and Questions

Stroud District Council's Local Plan

There has been some progress with the Stroud Local Plan over the festive period. Following a delay, whilst further work was undertaken, the inspectors appointed to examine the Stroud Local Plan review have now published their Matters, Issues and Questions. This document identifies any subjects the Inspectors feel should be looked at during the hearing sessions. It will form the basis for the hearings.

The inspectors have also published a first draft of the hearing timetable; hearings are due to open on 7th March. There will potentially be five weeks of hearings to follow throughout March and May 2023.

Only those who have previously responded to the pre-submission consultation are invited to participate in the hearings. Written statements in response to the Matters, Issues and Questions are due to be submitted by 14th February 2023.
