SF Planning were delighted to assist a popular local bakery with their planning application for an extension to their existing premises. The business were keen to explore a more permanent and safer way of welcoming walk-in customers to the site to purchase their daily bread and pastries. Taking inspiration from traditional French bakeries, local architects Edge Design Workshop designed a high quality front extension to the existing building to act as a serving area.

Planning Officers recognised the need to support local businesses and concluded the proposal to be of an acceptable design, thereby fully according with relevant planning policies and objectives.

The proposed development will enable the existing and established business to expand and adapt during the ongoing period of economic uncertain in accordance with the principles of the NPPF and those within the locally adopted plans.
