Listed Building Planning Permission

Listed Building Consent & Planning Permission in Painswick

SF planning are delighted with achieving Listed Building Consent and Planning Permission for our clients, just before Christmas.

The scheme concerned the conversion of a redundant listed barn near Painswick in Stroud District. Following our work with Roger Gransmore Architects, we submitted an application for conversion of the listed barn to a contemporary and sustainable four-bedroom home.

As a result, the character and heritage of the building can be revealed with the removal of other low-quality outbuildings and reworking of the surrounding hardstanding.

Positive pre-application engagement was instrumental to the smooth application process. SF Planning worked proactively with Stroud District Council’s planning team and conservation officers. Subsequently, we achieved planning approval and listed building consent within the statutory eight-week determination period. Following this successful application, a valuable heritage asset will be brought back into viable use.

Quite the Christmas present for our clients, who are naturally delighted at the positive decision.

“Really fabulous news. We would like to thank you for all your help and guidance in this application process – we couldn’t have done it without you”
