The SF Planning team were recently treated to some internal training from our very own Martin Chandler. Having previously been a Planning Inspector for 4 years, Martin brings a unique perspective to the team, which he shared in his planning appeals masterclass.

Martin has presided over many planning appeals and his role at the Planning Inspectorate gave him responsibility for overturning, or supporting a council’s decision to refuse planning permission.

Martin delivered a very helpful and insightful session relating to planning appeals.  As a result, our consultants (who already share well over 100 years of planning experience between them) now have a deeper understanding of the processes and challenges involved in an appeal decision, and are therefore better equipped to submit robust and compelling appeal cases on behalf of our clients.
