Working with PAPA Architects, EAS Transport Planning and a variety of other consultants on behalf of our Client, we are pleased to report that our residential regeneration scheme in Harlow for 49 apartments has received a resolution to grant planning permission from Harlow Council Planning Committee.
The site comprises of vacant and underutilised brownfield land in close proximity to the services within the town centre. It is therefore an ideal candidate for regeneration. The proposals were developed in collaboration with Harlow Council through pre-application discussions and with Essex County Council’s urban design and highway officers, who both supported the scheme. The scheme includes a large number of green measures such as green and blue roofs, solar panels, 71 cycle parking spaces and electric vehicle charging points.
Our planning statement demonstrated the site provides the opportunity to deliver much needed homes, in a highly sustainable town centre location on a brownfield site in compliance with the NPPF, development plan and emerging area action plan. This will significantly assist the Council in boosting their five year housing land supply.
Members of Harlow Planning Committee were highly complementary of the proposed design approach and voted to unanimously approve the scheme in line with the officer recommendation at the September meeting.
